AGENDA ITEM #10.5. <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: October 2, 2007 <br /> Subiect: Request to Close Clerk's Office on November 23 <br /> and December 24 <br /> Report: During the past 5-6 years the Council has granted <br /> permission for the Clerk's office to be closed on the day <br /> `-- after Thanksgiving. All employees who take the day off are <br /> required to use vacation, comp time, or a personal day. <br /> This year December 24, Christmas Eve, falls on a Monday <br /> and Christmas day falls on a Tuesday. The Clerk's office is <br /> requesting the Council to grant permission to close the <br /> Clerk's office on December 24, 2007 to allow employees <br /> who travel on the holidays to be able to have a long <br /> weekend. If granted, this would not be a yearly request. <br /> Again, employees would be required to use vacation, comp <br /> time, or a personal day. <br /> Council Action Requested: Council consideration of <br /> allowing Clerk's office to be closed on November 23 and <br /> December 24, 2007. <br />
