,_

City of
Pequot
Lakes.-
Date:
AGENDA ITEM #7.1
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
October 2, 2012
Subiect: Fire Truck Repair
Report: (written by Tom Nelson) - We recently had a
company come to do our annual pump testing. One of our
engines, E2, did not pass the pump test. They informed me
the pump was weak and needed to be looked at to find what
is actually wrong. Neil Casanova and myself took the
engine down to Emergency Apparatus and Maintenance
(EAM). This is the company that has been testing our
pumps for the last 8 years. They have informed me that the
pump housing has a hole in it. Also there are other
problems within the pump itself. While I am still waiting
on a price for the repair, I expect the cost to be in excess of
$10,000. Being this is an emergency repair on one of our
front line engines, I would like to get this repaired as
quickly as possible.
Council Action Requested: Council motion authorizing
expenditures for repair of the fire truck.
