City of <br />Pequot <br />Lakes — <br />AGENDA ITEM #10.06 <br />REPORT TO <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />Report Prepared by: Sandy Peine, City Clerk <br />Date: January 7, 2014 <br />Subiect: City Attorney RFP <br />Report: The Council authorized the City to request proposals <br />for a City Attorney. The City sent out 8 RFP's and received 8 <br />proposals. Council Member Pederson and I reviewed the <br />proposals. Flaherty and Hood came out as the number one <br />choice for both of us. We then proceeded to check references <br />which all came back very positive and with absolutely no <br />negative comments. The references that were checked included <br />the cities of Winona, St. Charles and Grand Marais. <br />Chris Hood and Robert Scott will be the City's main attorneys <br />with several others that will be available if needed. Chris and <br />Robert came to Pequot Lakes for an oral interview by the <br />committee and department heads. <br />This law firm specializes in serving cities in the Greater <br />Minnesota area.
