COMMUNITY <br /> GKOWTH <br /> INSTITUTE <br /> NEW BUSINESS-FLECK PROJECT UPDATE <br /> Background Information: A land use permit was granted to Thomas&Toni Fleck on <br /> August 11, 2011 to make a one-time 5o% addition to their non-conforming cabin located <br /> at 6032 Inland Trails Road. <br /> Since the existing structure is non-conforming, the Ordinance allows property owners <br /> one of the following options for renovation/expansion: <br /> 1) Replace the existing structure with one of the exact dimensions (footprint, roof pitch, <br /> height, etc.)or; <br /> 2) Make a one-time addition not larger than 50% of the area of the existing structure <br /> with no structural improvements allowed to be made to original structure. <br /> The property owners chose option number two and have commenced construction. They <br /> have since realized structural components of the original structure are not up to code. <br /> The contractor for the project will be present at the meeting to discuss structural <br /> improvements that are needed. <br /> We are asking each of the Planning Commission members to visit the <br /> property at some point before the meeting. Notice the location of the <br /> structure in relation to the lake and the overall size/depth of the lot.
