CO M UNI'3 Y ciuot <br /> INSTITUTE Ues <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> Application: Ordinance Amendment regarding Composition of the Planning <br /> Commission <br /> Applicant: City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Agenda Item: 4(a) <br /> Background Information: Currently, the Code states, "The Planning Commission <br /> shall consist of no less than seven (7) members appointed by the City Council." The City <br /> Council has suggested the minimum number of members required to serve on the <br /> Planning Commission is five. <br /> Planning Commission Direction: The Planning Commission may either recommend <br /> that the application be approved or denied, with or without changes to the text provided <br /> here. The application can also be tabled. Guidance can be given to staff for <br /> modifications to be presented at the next meeting. There is no requirement that the <br /> Planning Commission must act at this time. <br /> Staff Recommendation: Staff has no recommendation on this amendment. <br /> Pequot Lakes Staff Report 4(a)-1 <br /> December 15,2011 <br />
