Villas, UC <br /> April 16, 2014 <br /> Dawn Bittner <br /> City of Pequot Lakes <br /> 4638 County Road 11 <br /> Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 <br /> RE: March 20 Planning Commission Minutes <br /> Dear Dawn: <br /> Regarding the draft minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of March 20, 2014, I am <br /> requesting that the minutes be corrected to delete portions of the reference to "Overall Site <br /> Conditions to Consider" (including Conditions 22, 23, 24 and 25). <br /> With respect to Condition 22, the minutes do not reflect any discussion or action concerning a <br /> vegetation/screening plan for the entire property. Condition #2 does require an updated plan for the <br /> vegetative screening of the lodge and a landscape plan for the lodge has been submitted with the <br /> Application. <br /> There was no discussion or action taken regarding a lighting plan for the entire property <br /> referenced in Condition 423. <br /> Regarding Condition 24, an updated professional storm water management plan prepared by <br /> our engineer as a part of the submittal requirements accompanies our Application. <br /> Finally, Condition 25 which requires re-vegetation of the beach area on the east side of the <br /> point was not discussed or acted upon. The minutes on page 9 state "Add #26: Re-vegetate beach <br /> area on the east side of the point, restoring it to its natural state." The beach area in question has <br /> previously been re-vegetated and other conditions adopted include the picnic area, the trail, berms, <br /> swales, etc. which relate to the area in question. However, the re-vegetation of the beach area was <br /> completed in 2010 following the deposit of$2,360.00 with the City and our utilization of a fabric log <br /> with wood stakes, spreading a special restoration seed mix prepared by Landsburg Nursery and new <br /> topsoil with erosion control silt fence. Pictures of the restoration in process were furnished to the city <br /> on April 23, 2010 and May 20, 2010.
