ORDINANCE NO. 13- , SECOND SERIES <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15, ARTICLE 1 OF THE CITY CODE <br />RELATING TO SEWER REGULATIONS <br />CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br />COUNTY OF CROW WING <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br />Purpose and Intent. The purpose and intent of this ordinance amendment is to amend <br />Chapter 15 of the Pequot Lakes City Code relating to Sewer Regulations within the City <br />of Pequot Lakes. <br />Amendment. Chapter 15, Article 1, shall be amended as follows: <br />CHAPTER 15 — UTILITIES <br />ARTICLE 1. SEWER USE REGULATIONS <br />Section 15 -1.1. PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this section of the City Code is to regulate the use of public and private <br />sewers and drains, private wastewater disposal, the installation and connection of <br />building sewers, and the discharge of waters and wastes into the public sewer system(s); <br />and providing penalties for violations thereof. <br />Section 15 -1.2. DEFINITIONS <br />Unless the context specifically indicates otherwise, the meaning of terms used in this <br />Chapter shall have the meanings hereinafter designated: <br />1. Act. The Federal Water Pollution Control Act also referred to as the <br />Clean Water Act, as amended, 33. U.S.C. 1251, et seq., <br />2. ASTM. American Society for Testing Materials. <br />3. Authority. The City of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota or its representative <br />thereof. <br />4. BODS or Biochemical Oxvven Demand. The quantity of oxygen utilized <br />in the biochemical oxidation of organic matter under standard laboratory <br />procedure in five (5) days at 20 degrees Centigrade in terms of milligrams per <br />liter (mg /1). <br />5. Building Drain. That part of the lowest horizontal piping of a drainage <br />system which receives the discharge from waste and other drainage pipes inside <br />
