MOTION CARRIED 5-0.

4. Splash Park

Chair Malecha updated the Commissioners on the progress of the splash park.
She is applying for a grant from the DNR. The grant requires matching funds
which she hopes to obtain from donations and in-kind contributions. The City will
be required to hold a public hearing. Chair Malecha requested the Clerk to ask
the Council if they would allocate some funding toward the project with park
dedication funds.

Chair Malecha explained that she received specifications for a scaled down
splash park that would use considerably less water than the one they were
originally considering. The one they are considering now uses 55.5 gallons per
minute and if sensors are used the amount would be less. Discussion was held
regarding the need for a bathroom.

The Park Commission reviewed a proposal for a playground that was provided
by Commissioner Ettesvold. The playground would be placed near the splash
park. The Clerk reminded the Commissioners that two bids will have to be
acquired for the playground and the splash park.

5. Sibley Lake Park Update
