City of
AGENDA ITEM #10.7
Pc not
Lakes —
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Report Prepared by: Nancy Malecha
Date: January 6, 2015
Subject: Pay Equity Reporting
Report: State law requires all public jurisdictions such as cities,
counties, and school districts to eliminate any sex-based wage
inequities in compensation. Therefore, these jurisdictions are
required to submit Pay Equity Reports to the State of Minnesota
every three years.
In January, I will be submitting the information on the attached Job
Class Data Entry Verification List to the State of Minnesota. The
State requires that the City Council acknowledge submittal of the
report.
When we receive a response from the State informing us of
compliance or noncompliance, we will present it to the City
Council. This report will not be received for several months.
Council Action Requested: Council motion acknowledging
submittal of the City's Pay Equity Report to the State of
Minnesota.
