City of <br />�. <br />Pequott <br />Lakes— <br />AGENDA ITEM #11.5 <br />REPORT TO <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />Date: June 2, 2009 <br />Subject: Consider Open Book Meeting for Board of <br />Review <br />Report: Information regarding Open Book Meetings (for <br />�- Board of Review) is attached. The Mayor has requested the <br />Council to consider this style of meeting as an alternative to <br />the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization. <br />According to Statute, if the Council wishes to change the <br />style of meeting, the following action must be taken: <br />1. Public Notice of this meeting must be posted at City <br />Hall. <br />2. The City Council must notify its intent to transfer the <br />assessment and local board duties to the County Board <br />before December 1St. This transfer of duties may either be <br />permanent or for a specified number of years (however, the <br />duties must be transferred to the County for a minimum of <br />�' three years). <br />
