41+ AGENDA ITEM #10.6
Ci of
Petitt
Lakes
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Report Prepared by: Nancy Malecha
Date: December 6, 2016
Subject: 2017 Wellness Program
Report: The National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) is
offering a $250 wellness incentive to members within their
risk management health insurance pool. To be eligible for
this per employee incentive, the City must implement and
utilize the Benovate Connect health integration platform.
This technology based platform incorporates components
of the City's current wellness program and personalizes
activity cards for employees to complete. The goal is to
engage employees to achieve overall balanced health in the
relationship, finance, personal growth, and physical health
sectors while earning incentives up to $250 per year fully
funded by NJPA. Employees can elect to receive this
incentive as a pre-tax HSA contribution or a post-tax
payroll compensation.
