PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING, OCTOBER 17 , 1995
The regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning and Zoning
Commission was called to order at 6: 30 P.M. at the Pequot
Lakes City Hall by Chairman, David Oien. Also present were
Carol Robideaux, Terri Russell , Greg Welu, Laura Hofus, and
Mark Jurchen.
G. Welu moved, and C. Robideaux seconded for approval of the
minutes of the previous minutes. Motion passed unanimously.
A complaint on the commercial use of the Kelly Tulenchik
property was reviewed. It was found that the property is
zoned Medium Density Residential . The storage of contractor' s
equipment and operating the business from the premises is
in violation of the code. The Commission instructed Terri
Russell to issue and Cease and Desist Order in conjunction
with the complaint.
A complaint on improper signage and parking of a garbage
truck on the Saccoman property was reviewed . A determination
was made that no violation exists at this time.
Chairman David Oien instructed Terri Russell to write a letter
of intent to the Sibley township board expressing the
Commission' s interest to enter into a joint venture concerning
planning and zoning.
Chairman Oien also opened discussion on possible annexation
of portions of Sibley township in 40 and 60 acre tracks. One
area to be give specific consideration is an area bordered
by Highway 371 on the east and Sibley Lake on the West.
Auto and bicycle traffic from that area directly affects
streets within the city limits.
A review and reclassification of Section 8: 20 was completed
and a motion to hold a final Public Hearing on Reclassification
on December 19th, 1995 at 6:30 P.M. was make by Mark Jurchen.
Seconded by Greg Welu, the motion passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 P.M. by Chairman David Oien
with no objections.
Mark Jurchen, Secretary David Oien, Chairman
