PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> REGULAR MEETING, OCTOBER 17 , 1995 <br /> The regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission was called to order at 6: 30 P.M. at the Pequot <br /> Lakes City Hall by Chairman, David Oien. Also present were <br /> Carol Robideaux, Terri Russell , Greg Welu, Laura Hofus, and <br /> Mark Jurchen. <br /> G. Welu moved, and C. Robideaux seconded for approval of the <br /> minutes of the previous minutes. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> A complaint on the commercial use of the Kelly Tulenchik <br /> property was reviewed. It was found that the property is <br /> zoned Medium Density Residential . The storage of contractor' s <br /> equipment and operating the business from the premises is <br /> in violation of the code. The Commission instructed Terri <br /> Russell to issue and Cease and Desist Order in conjunction <br /> with the complaint. <br /> A complaint on improper signage and parking of a garbage <br /> truck on the Saccoman property was reviewed . A determination <br /> was made that no violation exists at this time. <br /> Chairman David Oien instructed Terri Russell to write a letter <br /> of intent to the Sibley township board expressing the <br /> Commission' s interest to enter into a joint venture concerning <br /> planning and zoning. <br /> Chairman Oien also opened discussion on possible annexation <br /> of portions of Sibley township in 40 and 60 acre tracks. One <br /> area to be give specific consideration is an area bordered <br /> by Highway 371 on the east and Sibley Lake on the West. <br /> Auto and bicycle traffic from that area directly affects <br /> streets within the city limits. <br /> A review and reclassification of Section 8: 20 was completed <br /> and a motion to hold a final Public Hearing on Reclassification <br /> on December 19th, 1995 at 6:30 P.M. was make by Mark Jurchen. <br /> Seconded by Greg Welu, the motion passed unanimously. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 P.M. by Chairman David Oien <br /> with no objections. <br /> Mark Jurchen, Secretary David Oien, Chairman <br />
