• <br /> PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br /> REGULAR MEETING, AUGUST 20, 1996 <br /> The regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning & Zoning Commission <br /> was called to order by Chairman M. Jurchen at 6 : 30 p.m. on Tuesday, <br /> August 20 , 1996, at the Pequot Lakes City Hall . Roll call showed C. <br /> Robideaux, G. Welu, M. Jurchen all present . G. Jenson arrived later . <br /> D. Gola was absent . <br /> 1 . MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the July 16, 1996 were approved with corrections to <br /> the ordinance amendment on parking requirements and the <br /> annexation with a motion by C. Robideaux and seconded by G. Welu. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 2. VARIANCE REQUEST - RICHARD DITTES <br /> Mr . Dittes proposed the construction of an additional dwelling on <br /> his lot legally described as : Gov. Lot 5 , Sec. 10 desc. as <br /> follows ; comm. at the SE corner of said Gov. Lot 5 , the N 1 deg 2 <br /> min 44 sec W 468 .48 ' along the E line of said Gov Lot 5 to the <br /> point of beg. , then N 1 deg 22 min 55 sec W 192 .43 ' along said E <br /> line , then S 88 deg. 48 min. 50 sec. W 290 . 72' more or less to the <br /> shore of Lake Sibley, then SW' ly along said shore to a point that <br /> bears N 67 deg 25 min 4 sec W from the point of beg, then S 67 deg <br /> 25 min 4 sec E 343 . 89 ' more or less to the point of beg. The lot <br /> is approximately 5 acres and Mr . Dittes would have to install a <br /> lift station to hook up to the city sewer . He owns 40' road ROW <br /> on W. Grove Street and would have to cut down many trees to run <br /> the water and sewer lines from W. Grove Street to the new <br /> structure. <br /> `.r Motion by G. Welu and seconded by G. Jenson that Richard Dittes <br /> does not need a variance from Sewer Use Ordinance No. 145 , Article <br /> III , Section 4 , requiring him to hook up to city utilities , as it <br /> is not feasible or easily accessible , and that he will be allowed <br /> to construct an on-site system for the new dwelling. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 3 . ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS - KELLY TULENCHIK <br /> Motion by G. Jenson and seconded by G. Welu to recommend further <br /> action to the city council to order Kelly Tulenchik to cease and <br /> desist storing construction equipment and materials on her <br /> property zoned Medium Density Residential (E 1/2 Lot 6, Block 3 , <br /> Pequot ) , since no response has been received from the letter that <br /> the Planning Commission sent to Ms . Tulenchik. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> 4 . VARIANCE REQUEST - KELLY TULENCHIK <br /> No information has been received from the applicant on this <br /> request . Issue tabled. <br /> 5 . VARIANCE REQUEST - LEE HOLCK <br /> Motion by C. Robideaux and seconded by G. Jenson to call a public <br /> hearing on 9/17/96 at 6: 30 p.m. for Mr . Lee Holck ( lots 14-16, <br /> Block 1 , Pequot Shady Shores ) , variance request 32' road ROW <br /> setback instead of the ordinance required 35 ' . Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br />
