PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING&ZONING COMMISSION <br /> PUBLIC HEARING,TUESDAY,OCTOBER 28,1997 <br /> The Pequot Lakes Planning & Zoning Commission public hearing was called to order by <br /> Chairman M. Jurchen on Tuesday, October 28, 1997 at 6:55 p.m. at the Pequot Lakes City Hall. <br /> Roll call: M. Jurchen; J. Thompson; G. Jenson; and F. Martinson present. Absent: G. Welu. <br /> The purpose of the hearing was to gather public input on a conditional use permit request by <br /> Mathias Justin to allow a professional office building in a Light Industrial District on Lot 1, <br /> Block 3, Industrial Park Plat. <br /> The Commission discussed the project with Mr. Justin, then reviewed his application, building <br /> and site plans. He is planning a 3,656 square foot office building. The building will include <br /> rental space for an additional tenant. Mr. Justin's office will occupy approximately 2/3 of the <br /> main floor and 1/3 of the basement area. <br /> No persons were in attendance either in support or opposition of the conditional use permit. No <br /> phone calls or correspondence were received regarding this application. <br /> The Commission explained to Mr. Justin that he will be building in an "industrial park" and the <br /> adjoining properties could have businesses of an industrial nature developed on them. He stated <br /> he was aware of this possibility. <br /> The public hearing portion of the meeting was closed. <br /> Motion by J. Thompson and seconded by F. Martinson to approve the conditional use permit as <br /> presented by Mathias Justin to allow him to construct and operate a professional office building <br /> on Lot 1, Block 3, Industrial Park Plat, with no conditions. <br /> Meeting adjourned by Chairman Mark Jurchen at 7:10 p.m. <br /> Terri Russell, Zoning Administrator Mark Jurchen, Chairman <br />
