PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES, OCTOBER 6, 1998
A special meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning&Zoning Commission was called to or-
der on Tuesday, October 6, 1998, at 6:30 p.m.. Roll call: all members present.
The Chairperson F. Martinson explained the purpose of the meeting was to consider a one
year extension on Robert & Taren Saccoman's variance order(No. 95-08-15-37V).
Questions concerning the cost of the hook-up for water& sewer discussed. It was de-
cided that this is an issue to be discussed with the City Council.
The commission is aware of a complaint made by Ted Schaefer, the owner of a home ad-
jacent to the property. His concern is with the possible need to give up 10' of his property
that he is unwilling to do. He will be discussing this issue with his attorney. After discus-
sion with the Saccoman's it is clear to the commission that the need for an additional 10'
is not needed and therefore not an issue.
Motion by G. Welu and seconded by J. Thompson to grant a one year extension on the
variance issued to Robert & Taren Saccoman, No. 95-08-15-37V for the construction of
a single family dwelling and a garage on a non-conforming lot. The extension will expire
October 6, 1999. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by G. Welu and seconded by J. Thompson to adjourn at 7:07 p.m.. Motion car-
ried unanimously.
Greg Welu, Secretary Forbes Martinson, Chairperson
