L
PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING& ZONING COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA,FEBRUARY 2, 1998
A special meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning&Zoning Commission was called to
order on Tuesday,February 2, 1998, at 6:32 p.m. Roll call: all members present.
The Chairman M. Jurchen explained the purpose of the meeting was to call a hearing for a
conditional use permit on veterinary animal hospital in the EC zone. David Kennedy was
willing to operate under the conditions set out in the permit. The Chairman explained that
the Commission was not in favor of making a veterinary hospital as permitted use. G
Welu had asked citizens at large and some businesses for feedback, and they were happy
with the proposal.
Motion by G. Welu and seconded by J. Thompson to call a public hearing for Tuesday,
February 17, at 7 p.m. for the purpose of allowing a conditional use permit as a
classification for a veterinary/animal hospital in an EC zone. Motion carried unanimously.
In closing, David Kennedy stated that he has had other prospective tenants, but the most
stable would be the veterinary hospital. Projected opening would be May 1.
There is a fee to call this meeting, probably$75, and that will be checked.
Motion by F. Martinson and seconded by J. Thompson to adjourn. Motion carried
unanimously.
Marty Peisch, Zoning Administrator Mark Jurchen, Chairman
