Complete and Review Deal Evaluator— Attached is a form that was prepared by the <br /> Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development to assist <br /> communities in analyzing and understanding the proposed JOB Zone project and <br /> related industry. <br /> Considerations <br /> If this project is approved as a JOB Zone, most property taxes associated with the parcel of <br /> property will not be due and payable. Currently property taxes on the parcel are <br /> approximately$649.18 per year. The company or landowner will continue to pay property <br /> taxes on the value of the land and some miscellaneous non-exempt items. <br /> Job Zone Participation and Proposed Application Fees <br /> The City of Crosslake proposed JOB Zone fees are proposed to be as follows: <br /> Application Fee-$1,000 non-refundable application fee <br /> Deposit-$5,000 deposit at time of application to cover city costs <br /> Closing Fee—Not applicable <br /> Annual Fee for Region 5 Communities—Annual business fees are based on a half percent of <br /> qualifying JOBZ payroll,with a minimum of$500 and a maximum of$10,000 per year. Annual <br /> developer fees are assessed at five cents per square foot of rented JOBZ property with a <br /> minimum of$500 and a maximum of$2,500 per year.
