The City of Pequot Lakes would be in charge of all <br />employee issues including: hiring, supervision, training, <br />licensure, benefit packages, payroll, insurance and workers <br />compensation. <br />The City of Pequot Lakes would provide phone services, E- <br />Charging and permit to purchase applications among other <br />aspects. Police Reserves would be utilized for special <br />events, extra patrol and house watch checks. <br />The City of Pequot Lakes would conduct Predatory <br />Offender Registration checks, investigate incidents and <br />respond to incidents while on-duty for the City of Emily. <br />Collaborating services will aid the City of Pequot Lakes to <br />be more efficient as well as potential grants and other <br />funding resources. <br />The potential contract with the City of Emily would be set <br />on an annual basis; for 2014 the contract would potentially <br />begin on March 1, 2014. The contract would be for <br />$40,375 and would provide approximately 1250 hours to <br />the City of Emily for patrol services. A part-time officer <br />will be responsible for working the hours in the City of <br />Emily approximately 30 hours a week. At the current part- <br />time wage, this position would cost approximately $26,875 <br />(including PERA, Medicare and Work Comp) for 2014. <br />The remainder $13,500 income would be utilized to cover <br />expenses for the squad car used (which the City of Emily <br />already owns), Reserve expenses in the City of Emily as <br />well as administrative expenses. <br />
