Staff Follow-up <br /> Applicant: Justin Bolz-Andolshek <br /> Application: Variance to encroach within the lake setback <br /> Applicant applied for and Council approved this Variance request January 6, 2004, <br /> subject to the following conditions: <br /> 1. At least five new trees shall be planted and maintained within the shore impact <br /> zone (first 37.5 feet from the lake)to ultimately buffer the visual impact of the <br /> second story addition. <br /> 2. There shall be no structure, including the deck, closer to the lake than the existing <br /> dwelling. <br /> Commission Member Tom Adams met with Staff and Mr. Bolz-Andolshek on-site April <br /> 28, 2005 and agreed to the following terms: <br /> 1. There was no part of the structure, including the deck, closer to the lake than the <br /> existing dwelling. <br /> 2. Five trees will be planted within the shore impact zone,two near the willow tree <br /> and three evenly spaced to the left of the stairway starting approximately 15 feet <br /> from the stairway. <br /> 3. A short retaining wall will be installed under the deck between the posts to hold <br /> the earth in place. <br /> 4. A retaining wall will be placed on the northeast corner of the house to hold bank <br /> in place. <br /> 5. Minimal grading will take place within the construction impact zone to level off <br /> terrain from construction equipment and area will be hydro-seeded to prevent <br /> erosion. <br />
