City's Land Use Ordinance. This section deals with exterior storage and junk cars. In our December letter,we quoted the ordinance as stating that, "In residential districts, all materials and equipment shall be stored within a building or be fully screened so as not to be visible from adjoining properties...- (Section 70.020)and also, "In all zoning districts, all waste material, debris, refuse or garbage shall be kept in an enclosed building or properly contained in a closed container designed for such purposes. The owner of all land shall be responsible for keeping such land free of refuse and weeds. All exterior storage not included as a permitted use, or included as part of a conditional use permit, or otherwise permitted by provisions of this Ordinance shall be considered as refuse. Passenger vehicles and trucks in an inoperative state due to age, damage or malfunction shall not be parked outside in a residential district for a period exceeding seven days; inoperative shall mean incapable of movement under its own power and in need of repair or junking, and shall include unlicensed vehicles and vehicles incapable of legal movement on public roads. "(Section 70.030). We included pictures indicating why we felt your property did not comply with the Ordinance. We didn't ask you to contact us,but we did indicate that we were looking for you to address this matter by January 15, 2005. We have not heard from you and have no indications that you have taken any steps to remove the junk cars and clean up your property.
