O. Box 303
Pequot Lakes, MN 56472
Re: City of Pequot Lakes
Potential Ordinance Violation
PIN: 291310020100009
Dear Ms. Denzer:
It has come to our attention through a complaint that you are likely in violation of the
City's Ordinances regarding Exterior Storage and Junk Cars.
The Ordinance state, in Section 70.020,that "In residential districts, all materials and
equipment shall be stored within a building or be fully screened so as not to be visible
from adjoining properties... Rural
Residential District—2 abandoned vehicles allowed."
I have been to your property and taken the enclosed photographs. These vehicles are
visible from County Road 11. If these pictures accurately depict the condition of your
property, I would have to find that you are in violation of these two provisions of the
Ordinance.
As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the Ordinance, we would like the
opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no
later than May 6,2005,you remove or properly store all abandoned vehicles from
this property. We understand that you currently have a Land Use Permit to construct a
42' X 64' storage building and assume this storage building is to store these vehicles.
This Permit will expire on May 6, 2005.
Failure to comply with the Ordinance by May 6, 2005, will prompt us to take more
aggressive action. This would likely include administrative fines for each day the
