Passenger vehicles and trucks in an
inoperative state due to age, damage or malfunction shall not be parked outside in a
residential district for a period exceeding seven days; inoperative shall mean incapable
of movement under its own power and in need of repair ofjunking, and shall include
unlicensed vehicles and vehicles incapable of legal movement on public roads. "
I have been to your property and taken the enclosed photographs. If these pictures
accurately depict the condition of your property, I would have to find that you are in
violation of this provision of the Ordinance.
As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the ordinance, we would like the
opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no
later than January 15,2005,you remove or properly store all abandoned vehicles
from this property.
Failure to comply with the Ordinance by January 15, 2005, will prompt us to take more
aggressive action. This would likely include administrative fines for each day the
violation continues, civil action to obtain a court order directing you to comply with the
Ordinance and could potentially include criminal action.
Having abandoned vehicles as depicted in these photographs is not only an eyesore to the
rest of the community, it is a health and safety issue that we take very seriously.
