Pequot Lakes Library <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> November 16,2004 <br /> Present: Nancy Adams,Sue Lenzen,Shari Wilson,Lydia Loven, Claire Nagel, <br /> Absent: Dave Sjoblad, Dave Anderson <br /> Guest: Cathy Malecha <br /> Minutes of the October 20,2004 meeting were approved as read. <br /> Treasurer's Report was handed out. Nancy Adams asked for a total amount of money in the <br /> Friends of the Library account to be shown on the treasurer's report. Nancy Adams made a <br /> motion to accept the treasurer's report,Claire Nagel seconded. All ayes motion passed. <br /> Old Business: Computer club gave us a check for $614 to go towards the bookshelf. <br /> New Business: Election of Board Members-Sue Lenzen did not want to reapply for the seat <br /> on the Board due to time commitments. It was decided to contact Jerry Akerson and <br /> Lavone Sullivan as possible replacements. Cathy Malecha will contact and report back at the <br /> next meeting. Nancy Adams did want to stay on the Board for another 3-year term. Shari <br /> Wilson made a motion to nominate Nancy Adams for another term. Claire Nagel seconded, <br /> all ayes,motion passed. <br /> Election of Officers: Shari Wilson made a motion to postpone election of officers to the <br /> next Board meeting due to several members not being in attendance,seconded by Lydia <br /> Loven,all ayes,motion passed. <br /> Committee Reports, <br /> Lydia Loven reported on the results of the Tea Fundraiser. This event raised$348.53 for <br /> the library. Discussion was held concerning when and where to have it next year. It was <br /> decided to move the tea to a spring or summer event. <br /> Shari Wilson reported on the Basket Extravaganza. This event raised$1354.87 for the <br /> library. Shari will send out thank-yous to the basket donors. It was decided to make this a <br /> solo event and to have it at a restaurant/bar next year. It was decided to host this <br /> fundraiser in November 2005. Shari also discussed the Children's Artwork Program, listed <br /> the upcoming Artists of the Month and placement of a Christmas tree in the library. <br /> Sue Lenzen asked to pass the Quilt Fundraiser on to someone else,as she didn't want to <br /> take this on. After much discussion, it was decided to forego this fundraiser,as it didn't <br /> seem to produce much enthusiasm from the Board members. Nancy Adams will contact <br /> those concerned. <br />
