i <br /> Statistics <br /> The following statistics will be presented. <br /> • Areas of concern will be numbered by site position and geographically <br /> correlated to a map <br /> • A statistical summary of the detected areas <br /> Further uses of an Environmental Assessment Overflight <br /> Ultimately,completion of the EAO serves as a starting point for prioritization of lake or <br /> river management activities. Long-term applications of the EAO include use as: <br /> 1. A resource management tool to aid in planning and zoning issues,as well as to <br /> protect property values <br /> 2. A historical data base,which allows for comparison of future conditions <br /> 3. An easily understood means of showing individuals their effect upon the <br /> environment,and for targeting geographical areas or activities for future educational <br /> activities <br /> 4. A rapid method of reviewing a particular location without actually going into the <br /> field,and a method for reducing the costs of chemical analysis by identifying areas <br /> of known problems(or high quality)prior to developing a sampling regime <br /> 5. A method of identifying the magnitude and importance and subsequent prioritization <br /> of environmental concerns draining the various sub-watersheds entering the river <br /> and stream system This will enable the District monitoring these target areas to <br /> prioritize their efforts in further investigation of the pollution sources <br /> Performance Specifications <br /> The following commitments and conditions are to be met by A.W.Research Laboratories on <br /> acceptance of this bid: <br /> 1. All the materials,supplies,labor,transportation,etc.will be provided by A.W. <br /> Research Laboratories <br /> 2. The data will be collected with the following film: <br /> a. Visible 35 mm film <br /> b. Hyperspectral video,consisting of <br /> • Chlorophyll a <br /> • Water Penetrating <br /> • Near IR <br /> • Thermal <br /> 3. The final report will contain the following: <br /> a. A 35mm(visible range)color slide display of the detected site <br /> b. A chlorophyll a image of the detected are <br /> `, c. A near infrared image of the detected area <br />
