AGENDA ITEM # 10.5. <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: October 5, 2004 <br /> Subiect: Thanksgiving Holiday <br /> Report: The City of Pequot considers Thanksgiving Day <br /> (November 25 as a holiday). The day after Thanksgiving, <br /> November 26 is not a holiday. I have had many employees <br /> L, request the day after Thanksgiving off. If the Council is <br /> agreeable, we would like to allow anyone to take the day <br /> off using comp time or vacation time, or without pay. If <br /> someone wants to work, they would be allowed to work. If <br /> all employees want the day off(excluding Police Officers), <br /> we would ask the Council to authorize the closing of the <br /> City offices for that day. <br /> Council Action Requested: Council motion authorizing <br /> employees to take the day after Thanksgiving off and the <br /> closing of City Offices for the day. <br />
