City Council Meeting Page 3 <br /> August 18, 2004 <br /> -------------------------------- <br /> It was suggested that the City look into a long distance telephone plan. <br /> General Fund <br /> The following amendments were made to the General Fund Budget: <br /> Council Capital Outlay Table -$ 5,000 <br /> General Building Debt Service Building Loan +$ 4,000 <br /> Clerk Engineering Fees -$ 2,000 <br /> The Council also requested that the 5% wage increase be reduced to 3%. The <br /> health insurance allowance of$600 was left at this time until the City receives <br /> insurance quotes and has a better idea of actual cost. <br /> The Council requested staff to have department heads to provide more budget <br /> cuts so that the total budget increase is a maximum of 9% rather than the <br /> proposed 14%. <br /> HRA <br /> The HRA budget was reviewed. No changes to the HRA budget. <br /> 'a.. <br /> Fire <br /> It was noted that the heating and electric categories may need to be increased <br /> due the new building. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO <br /> ADJOURN THE MEETING.
