Malecha, Council Members Johnson, Bolz- <br /> Andolshek, Sjoblad, Akerson, Pfeiffer, and Ryan <br /> Members Absent: None <br /> Staff Present: Mark Forsberg, Chief of Police; Dawn Bittner, Zoning <br /> Administrator; Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Brett Twardy, <br /> Water/Wastewater Superintendent; Mike Loven, Street <br /> Superintendent <br /> Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Malecha called the special meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br /> order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Mayor Malecha indicated that the purpose of the special meeting is to review the <br /> preliminary 2005 general fund budget and the water/wastewater, fire and library <br /> budgets. <br /> `-- Planning and Zoning <br /> It was suggested that the Planning and Zoning Commission reduce the number <br /> of Planning and Zoning Commission members. <br /> The Council made the following cuts to the Planning and Zoning Budget. <br /> Contract Services Sibley Lake Plan -$ 4,500 <br /> Special Projects Downtown Plan -$ 9,000 <br /> Engineering -$ 1,000 <br /> It was decided that the cost for the Sibley Lake Plan would be divided in two and <br /> that the plan would actually be implemented in 2006. <br /> It was decided that the cost of the Downtown Plan would be divided into thirds <br /> and that the plan would be implemented in 2007. <br /> Water/Wastewater <br /> Discussion was held on the proposed .50 cent increase for both water and <br /> sewer. No decision was made on whether this amount would be too much or too <br /> little. Discussion was also held regarding the Banyon water billing software and <br />
