June 15, 2004 <br /> The Housing&Redevelopment Authority met at Sibley Terrace on June 14, 2004. <br /> Commissioners present: Peterson,Jurchen, Youngberg,Nagel. Absent: Teie. Also <br /> present: Director Thurlow ' <br /> Chair Peterson called the meeting to order. <br /> Minutes were reviewed and approved. M/Peterson, S/Nagel. M/carried. <br /> Bills were reviewed for payment: <br /> Sibley Terrace bills approved. M/Youngberg, S/Peterson <br /> Parkview bills approved. M/Nagel, S/Youngberg <br /> Alpine bills approved. M/Youngberg, S/Jurchen <br /> Sibley Terrace <br /> 1) Director gave an update of new senior project. AB Units will be complete at the <br /> end of July along with GH Units. Painting is being done. Cabinets will be <br /> installed 7/12 and then carpeting. Punch list will be done first of August. Open <br /> house is planned for first part of August. Advertising for rentals will begin soon. <br /> 2) Kiser property homes are coming along nicely. One is sold and the other will be <br /> sold as soon as financing is complete. The Director reported that CMHP would <br /> put in another application for the HRA in Feb for additional funding to continue <br /> the program. <br /> 3) The HRA has partnered with Region 5 and two lots will be purchased for the <br /> ICWC program. One lot has a closing on 6/16 and the other is having the title <br /> cleared and is scheduled for a variance hearing on 6/17. Plans are to begin <br /> building on them in the fall. <br /> 4) A security deposit for tenant in#110 will not be returned when he vacates on <br /> 6/18, due to damages. M/Peterson, S/Youngberg. M/carried. <br /> Parkview <br /> 1) A front-loading washer has been purchased for Parkview II. Cost was $1, 576.20. <br /> A handicapped individual was unable to do her laundry. <br /> 2) Resolution to write off charges for Casey Burnett,#201A was adopted: <br /> M/Jurchen, S/Youngberg. M/carried. <br /> 3) MHFA conducted an annual audit and review for Parkview I and II on June 9. <br /> Files were examined and tenant units were inspected. A report is forthcoming. <br /> 4) The HOME Funding will begin soon. The Contractor has visited the project to <br /> measure for cabinets, windows and countertops. <br /> 5) The call for aids will be dismantled this week at Parkview I&II. The caretaker <br /> will be doing this. <br />
