To: City Council
From: Brett Twardy
Monthly Water/Wastewater Report
June 2004
Water Plant: Electrical problems during the month due to electrical storm. All repaired.
Broken modulator valve, repaired. All is working fine now.
Fire Hydrants and Water Mains: Water main extension on East Woodman and South
Washington St. is completed. A significant amount of extra monies spent due to improper
location of main and extra street asphalt repair. Will submit bills to council for approval
next month.
Ponds/Blowers: All working fine, no problems.
Lift Stations: Had a problem with lift station# 1. Repaired flange adapter and installed
two rebuilt impellers. Also installed new high level alarm float.
Sanitary Sewer: Sewer main from Pequot School to UBC lift station was televised.
Results are as follows: large amounts of grease from the school and Pestello's. Also large
amounts of tree roots at seams. Will have Infratech come clean and cut out roots.
General Comments: A letter to the school district and Pestello's needs to be sent
regarding pretreatment. See enclosed letter with agenda.
The new city truck is complete and in our possession. All is great.
Tina Nolden's status of possible deployment will be determined around the
middle of July. Hopefully, she will not have to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Brett Twardy
