To: City Council
From: Brett Twardy
Monthly Water/Wastewater Resort
May 25,2004
Water Plant: All working fine, grass not growing this year need to look at possible
hydro seeding next year.
Fire Hydrants and Water Mains: All hydrants have been flushed. No water quality
problems.
Ponds/Blowers: All working fine, no problems.
Lift Stations:Having problem with lift station# 1, need new flange adapter, cost
approx. 900.00 to repair.
Sanitary Sewer: Had sewer main back up on the Rae ave sewer main, this problem was
due to the discharge of grit by precision water jet concepts last month. This has been
turned over to our insurance adjuster.
General Comments: water main extension at It figures on S.washington and east
woodman has not gone well!!! Could not find water main on south Washington st. will
see a increase of costs related to this project due to extra labor and asphalt due repair the
-- street, this will be shared by the contractor,T-Ray.No prices at this point.
The city of Jenkins is moving ahead with their sewer project, they would like a letter
from the city stating that we still support their possibility of the city of Pequot Lakes
taking their wastewater. Of course Jenkins would be responsible for any costs pertaining
to this project .
Have had several repairs at the spray irrigation site. Flat tires due to weathering, motor
relays burnt out and motor wiring needing repairs.
The new city truck came in and was taken to the shop for the box and winch to be
installed. Should be back here about the first week of this month. City decals have
already been ordered for both water dept city trucks.
Sincerely,
Brett Twardy
