City Council Minutes March 3, 2004 Page 5 ---------------------------- COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 11.1. Update from LarsonAllen on Accounting Procedures Mike Lyonais and Tom Koop were present to discuss the services they provided to the city in relation to the city's accounting procedures. It was recommended that the city's accounting procedures was very complex and could be simplified. It was also noted that some discrepancies have been corrected and recommendations have been made to staff to assist in simplifying the accounting procedures. 11.2. Review Financial Reports Nancy Rudbeck presented some recommendations for accounting procedural changes. She noted that she would like to wait until after the audit to formally adopt any procedural changes. She distributed different forms of financial reports and asked the Council to let her know what type of reports they prefer. 11.3. Board of Review COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL ON MAY 11, 2004, AT 10:00 A.M. AT THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING THE BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 11.4. Premise Permit for American Legion Auxiliary #49 COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 04-005 APPROVING PREMISE PERMIT FOR AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY#49 TO CONDUCT BINGO FROM JUNE 1, 2004 TO MAY 31, 2006. COUNCIL MEMBER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 11.5. City Hall Update The City Clerk noted that closings on the Sibley building and the Maintenance building would take place in March. She also noted that the city has closed on the Liberty Tool building. The City Clerk recommended that the City list the existing city hall building with a commercial realtor. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FOR THE SALE OF THE EXISTING CITY HALL BUILDING FROM THREE REALTORS.
