City Council Minutes <br /> Emergency Meeting of the City Council <br /> January 21, 2004 <br /> Page 2 <br /> �- -------------------------------------------------------- <br /> Maintenance Building <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO REJECT THE OFFER. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> The Council discussed whether it would be best to counter offer or <br /> withdraw the offer. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON WITHDREW HIS MOTION. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER PFEIFFER WITHDREW THE SECOND. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO COUNTER THE OFFER AT <br /> $100,000. COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. <br /> Council discussion pursued regarding other contingencies that should be <br /> included in the counter offer. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AMEND HIS MOTION TO <br /> ADD THE FOLLOWING CONTINGENCIES: <br /> 1. THAT CLOSING OF THE MAINTENANCE BUILDING TAKE <br /> PLACE CONTINGENT ON THE SUCCESSFUL CLOSING OF THE <br /> LIBERTY TOOL BUILDING <br /> 2. THAT THE OFFER IS CONTINGENT UPON THE BUSINESS <br /> BEING A PERMITTED USE IN THE INDUSTRIAL ZONE. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE AMENDMENT. THE <br /> AMENDMENT CARRIED 7-0. <br /> THE MOTION AS AMENDED CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 3. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER JOHNSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> The special meeting of the City Council adjourned at 9:30 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br />
