EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2004 <br /> HELD AT THE SIBLEY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor C. Malecha, Council Members Johnson, Bolz- <br /> Andolshek, Sjoblad, Akerson, Pfeiffer, and Ryan <br /> Staff Present: Mark Forsberg, Chief of Police; Dawn Bittner, Zoning <br /> Administrator; and Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Malecha called the special meeting of the Pequot Lakes City <br /> Council to order at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2004. <br /> 2. Consider Purchase Agreements for City Buildings <br /> The Clerk noted that the City has received two purchase agreements, one <br /> for the maintenance building and one for the Sibley Hall. <br /> Sibley Hall <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO TAKE NO ACTION ON <br /> `-' THE AGREEMENT FOR THE SIBLEY HALL UNTIL THE COUNCIL <br /> MEETING IN FEBRUARY TO SEE IF THE CITY RECEIVES ANY <br /> OTHER OFFERS ON THE BUILDING. <br /> THE MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK MOVED TO PLACE A <br /> COUNTER OFFER ON THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH THE <br /> FOLLOWING CONTINGENCIES: <br /> 1. $170,000 <br /> 2. MOVE THE CLOSING DATE ON THE SIBLEY HALL TO A TIME <br /> FOLLOWING THE SUCCESSFUL CLOSING OF THE LIBERTY <br /> TOOL BUILDING <br /> 3. THAT THE CITY CANNOT GUARANTEE THE SUCCESSFUL <br /> ZONING OF THE PROPERTY <br /> 4. THAT THE EXISTING APPLIANCES IN THE SIBLEY BUILDING <br /> BE EXCHANGED WITH THE APPLIANCES IN CITY HALL. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br />
