Pequot Lakes T.H. 371
January 14, 2004
prior to knowing what and where the additional land will be. However, to get a cost for talking
purposes at this point, I am assuming all three of the City's pivot irrigation points will need to be
relocated along with the piping out to these points. I will use a length of 1,300 feet each, $5 per
foot for removal costs, $20 per foot for new installation costs, 10% contingencies, and 20%
engineering/administration. The estimated total would be 3 x 1,300 feet x $25/foot x 1.1 =
$107,250 x 1.2 = $128,700.
If one of the bypass alternatives were the preferred alternative, we would first work with the City,
MPCA, and MnDOT on defining a scope for the Facility Plan. Then, after the Facility Plan was
completed, we would define a scope for whatever recommended improvement came from this
study. Please be aware that this process can take several years (from start of Facility Plan to
completion of construction can sometimes be a minimum 3-year process).
Don't hesitate to call with questions.
c: Sandy Peine, Pequot Lakes, via Email only, for distribution to Council and staff
Chuck Marohn, P&Z Administrator, via Email only
Mark Hallan, WSN
Don Anderson, WSN
WSN File
i
'1
CADocuments and SettingkAdministraWLocal SettingiTemporary Internet H16Content.IEMOIKLVWRSEH&MnDOT-011404-input on
reconfiguration of spray irrigation 5el4ax.doc
