Water/Wastewater Operator Position Update j <br /> i <br /> Brett requested the Council to extend the application period for the water/wastewater <br /> operator to December 12, 2003. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK MOVED TO EXTEND THE APPLICATION <br /> DEADLINE TO DECEMBER 12, 2003. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> The Council discussed the issue of whether the position should be full or part time. <br /> Council Member Ryan suggested that the Water/Wastewater Superintendent give the <br /> Council an itemization of job duties and time spent on the duties to help determine <br /> whether the position should be part time or full time. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED TO POSTPONE A DECISION ON THE <br /> ISSUE UNTIL THE JANUARY MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION FAILED 4-2. <br /> Roll Call: SJOBLAD— NAY, JOHNSON — NAY, RYAN — NAY, BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK <br /> — NAY, PFEIFFER—AYE, AKERSON —AYE. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK MOVED TO HIRE A PART-TIME <br /> WATERIWASTEWATER OPERATOR AT 20 HOURS PER WEEK. Partial Pay Estimate for Brown Street Roadway and Storm Sewer Improvements <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF PARTIAL <br /> PAY ESTIMATE #2 TO TOM'S BACKHOE SERVICE FOR THE BROWN STREET <br /> ROADWAY AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS WITH FUNDS TO COME <br /> FROM THE STORM SEWER INVESTMENT ACCOUNT AND THE ROADS AND <br /> STREET ACCOUNT.
