5/9/13 Park Commission Minutes <br />Doq Park <br />Discussion was held about the possibility of a dog park at the South end of <br />the park. It was the consensus of the Commission to contact Wes Wilson's <br />daughter to assist in drawing up a plan for the dog park. Commissioners <br />Gibbons and Ettesvold volunteered to meet with Mr. Wilson's daughter <br />prior to the next Park Commission meeting to discuss the concept of a dog <br />park at Sibley Lake Park. <br />6-13-13 Park Commission Minutes <br />Doa Park — Commissioner Gibbons stated that he contacted Sheridan <br />Wilson regarding the idea of creating a dog park at Sibley Lake Park. Ms <br />Wilson was positive about the idea and offered to assist. The Park <br />Commission stated that the next step is to draw up a plan to include the <br />size, location, signage requirements and fencing. Commissioner Nagel <br />requested staff to check with Mark Jurchen regarding liability issues. The <br />Commissioners requested Ms. Wilson to come to the next Park <br />Commission meeting. <br />7-11-13 Park Commission Minutes <br />Siblev Lake Park — Doa Park <br />The Commission moved its location to Sibley Lake Park. (This part of the <br />meeting was held at Sibley Lake Park). Sheridan Wilson was present. <br />Sheridan suggested a size and location for the dog park. She explained <br />that her 4-H Club is taking on the project and hopes to raise the money to <br />construct the fenced-in area for the dogs. Discussion was held regarding <br />the height of the fence. It was decided on a 5' fence. Sheridan will be <br />checking on the cost for the fencing materials installation costs for the <br />fence. <br />
