City Council Minutes <br /> December 6, 2005 <br /> Page 3 <br /> ---------------------------------- <br /> AUTHORITY 2006 TAX LEVY IN THE AMOUNT OF $29,000. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ADOPT THE 2006 GENERAL <br /> FUND BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,550,225.00. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6- <br /> 0. <br /> Mayor Malecha reviewed the following non-levy budgets: <br /> • Library Budget - $16,700 <br /> • Water Fund Budget - $233,520 <br /> • Sewer Fund Budget - $176,196 <br /> • Fire Budget - $124,000 <br /> • HRA Budget - $29,000 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE NON-LEVY <br /> BUDGETS AS PRESENTED. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 5. Liability Insurance Waiver <br /> Mark Jurchen of Lakeland Agency was present to discuss the liability <br /> coverage. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO NOT WAIVE THE <br /> MONETARY LIMITS ON MUNICIPAL TORT LIABILITY ESTABLISHED <br /> BY MINNESOTA STATUTES 466.04. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 6. Open Forum <br /> Chief Braam and Mayor Malecha presented a community service award to <br /> Jeremie Bridge. <br /> 10.1. Resolution Accepting Donations <br /> This item was withdrawn from the agenda until January. <br /> 10.2. Approve Amendment to Animal Control Services <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE MILEAGE <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICE <br />
