million
5. Sewer reserve is at $ 63,900
Water and Sewer Infrastructure
We currently are sitting on a sewer system built in the mid sixties
that is in dire need of replacement with in the next 5-10 years, 5%
of this system is in need of replacement now. 5% of the system was
replaced in the early seventies but is marginal due to bad pipe and
or engineering. 10% is only 10 years old and needs very little
work. The other 80% is very marginal and as stated earlier is
needing replacement. Will it last 5-10 years? Hopefully it will but
nothing is in stone.
The water infrastructure was also installed in the early to mid
sixties. Most of this system is in good shape. The City replaced and
or expanded several areas about seven years ago. The only
problems that exist are where old valves are in need to be replaced
due to none use or exercising of these valves. [We are currently
working on this project.
