9. Nothing to report about the FEMA grant application <br /> 10. Donations received: TDS, $500.00 for the AED purchase <br /> Narveson Management, $10,000 to help equip <br /> the Breezy station <br /> 11. Fire department activities: <br /> A. Participated in the Palisade fire fighters competition <br /> B. Sponsored the fire prevention program for elementary school <br /> C. Hosted a hurricane benefit at Tasty Pizza and sent $1500.00 to <br /> help volunteer fire departments in the areas of destruction <br /> D. All the pump trucks(4)were certified at a cost of$5236.37 for <br /> testing and repairs. <br /> E. Received a new drug and alcohol policy from the City <br /> 12. Fire department personnel: <br /> A. Kelly Larson is back on department after a year absence <br /> B. Tina Nolden is back after a military leave in Iraq <br /> C. Pat Selter, Mike Schwankl, Dusty Zeimet, and Nick Putnam <br /> completed their year of probation and are full-fledged <br /> members. <br /> D. John Lauer was terminated for lack of attendance at <br /> meetings and fire calls. <br /> F. All members received training and certification to <br /> operate the new AED. <br /> 13. Fire department purchases: <br /> A. Hurst Tool (slightly used) for$6500.00 <br /> B. AED for$1500.00 <br /> C. New gear storage rack for Breezy station, $1200.00 <br /> 14. New tanker truck(DNR loan): 5000 gallon fuel truck will be converted to <br /> 3000 gallon capacity tank at a cost of <br /> approximately $8000.00 <br /> 15. Any other business? <br /> 16.
