Page 3: Police-School Liaison Contract <br /> C. Require its principals to coordinate the efforts of the police-school liaison officer <br /> within the schools. <br /> D. Provide clerical help and assistance to the police-school liaison officer when <br /> needed by them within any school at which they are working in their capacity as a <br /> police-school liaison officer. This includes the providing of the supplies and <br /> materials needed. <br /> III RESPONSIBILITY OF CITY <br /> It is the intention of the CITY to provide police-school liaison officers to the <br /> SCHOOL DISTRICT, and it shall be the responsibility of the CITY to: <br /> A. Assign one officer to the SCHOOL DISTRICT to act as liaison officer at these <br /> schools. <br /> B. Provide Police Department equipment needed by the police-school liaison officer <br /> to perform necessary functions. <br /> C. Provide training and education within the scope of the Police Department of the <br /> CITY. <br /> D. Provide temporary replacements for the police-school liaison officer as deemed <br /> necessary by the Police Department. <br /> IV GENERAL <br /> A. The term of this AGREEMENT is September 6th, 2005, and this AGREEMENT <br /> shall remain in effect and be automatically renewed from year to year unless either <br /> party shall give 60 days written notice to the other of its intention to terminate this <br /> AGREEMENT. <br /> B. Indemnity and Hold Harmless. <br /> 1. The CITY shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the SCHOOL <br /> DISTRICT, its officials, employees and agents, from any and all claims, <br /> causes of action, lawsuits, damages, losses, or expenses, including attorney <br /> fees, arising out of or resulting from the City's performance of the duties <br /> required under this Agreement, provided that any such claim, damages, <br /> loss, or expense is attributable to bodily injury, sickness, disease or death or <br /> to injury to or in whole or in part by any negligent act or omission or willful <br /> misconduct of the CITY. The parties hereto agree to cooperate with one <br /> another in the defense of any claim, demand, or right of actions within the <br /> terms of this AGREEMENT. <br />
