City Council Minutes <br /> October 4, 2005 <br /> Page 7 <br /> --------------------------- <br /> 9.3. Pay quity_ <br /> The City Clerk provided information to the Council regarding pay equity <br /> compliance. She indicated that the City is in non-compliance with the pay <br /> equity law and must come into compliance by December 31St or pay a <br /> penalty to the State. <br /> Following Council discussion, the Council decided to incorporate all pay <br /> equity increases with the pay plan that will be presented to the Council by <br /> Ray Niemann. <br /> 9.4. Storm Water Drainage Fee <br /> The Clerk reviewed the history of the storm water drainage fee. She <br /> indicated that currently this fee is only being charged to property owners in <br /> the old city and not to property owners in the rural areas of the city. The <br /> Clerk indicated that the Council had requested this information so as to <br /> make a decision whether to charge all property owners in the City a storm <br /> water drainage fee. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO HAVE THE CITY CLERK <br /> LOOK INTO THE PROCESS TO CHARGE THIS FEE TO ALL <br /> PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE CITY. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 9.5. City Budget <br /> The Clerk suggested that the Council meet one more time to review the <br /> budgets prior to the Truth in Taxation hearing. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL BUDGET <br /> WORKSHOP MEETING ON NOVEMBER 15, 2005, AT 6:00 P.M. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 9.6. Adoption of Safety Program <br /> The Clerk presented the draft safety program to the Council. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT THE PEQUOT LAKES <br /> SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAM. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br />
