City Council Minutes <br /> October 4, 2005 <br /> Page 9 <br /> --------------------------- <br /> Salt/Sand Shed <br /> Mike Loven requested the Council to authorize the cost to build a <br /> sand/salt building behind the City Maintenance Shop. Mike reviewed the <br /> bids he received for the purchase of the material and for the labor. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE BUILDING <br /> OF A SALT/SAND BUILDING AT APPROXIMATELY $20,441.02, WITH <br /> THE MONEY TO COME FROM THE CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-1. COUNCIL MEMBER GREER OPPOSED. <br /> Council Member Greer opposed because he felt the cost was too high. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO WAIVE THE PERMIT COST OF <br /> $240.00. COUNCIL MEMBER GREER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> Mike informed the Council that the City is doing some radius work on the <br /> west side of Government Drive which will include some paving. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> WORK INCLUDING THE PAVING. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> Road Clearing <br /> Council Member Greer questioned Mike about the timing for road clearing <br /> on the West side of town. He indicated that it has become dangerous and <br /> that the trees and limbs need to be trimmed. He also requested Mike <br /> Loven to provide a road clearing plan for the City. <br /> 11. City Engineer <br /> Tim Houle indicated that a special meeting with the City Council and <br /> MnDOT for November 25th has been planned. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL COUNCIL <br /> MEETING FOR OCTOBER 25TH AT 6:00 P.M. TO DISCUSS HIGHWAY <br /> 371 WITH MNDOT. COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> L <br />
