CLOSED MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2005 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor C. Malecha, Council Members Greer, Bolz- <br /> Andolshek, Nagel, Sjoblad, Pfeiffer, and Ryan <br /> Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Jerry Braam, Chief of Police <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Malecha called the closed meeting of the Pequot Lakes City <br /> Council to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Mayor Malecha indicated that the purpose of the closed meeting was to <br /> review the background investigation material on Jerry Braam and to <br /> review his performance to date. <br /> The Council continued the meeting until the 6:00 special meeting on <br /> Highway 371 was concluded. The meeting reconvened at 7:55 p.m. <br /> Following review of the background investigation and Jerry Braam's <br /> performance during the last three weeks, the Council concluded that Jerry <br /> Braam be hired as the Chief of Police for Pequot Lakes with a six month <br /> probation period beginning his original starting date of August 29, 2005. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED HIRE JERRY BRAAM AS THE <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CHIEF OF POLICE WITH A SIX MONTH PROBATION <br /> PERIOD BEGINNING FROM THE STARTING DATE OF AUGUST 29, <br /> 2005. <br /> Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO <br /> ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council adjourned at 8:30 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Sandra A.
