AGENDA ITEM #11 .1 <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: September 6, 2005 <br /> Subject: 2006 Audit Proposal <br /> Report: Larson Allen has presented a proposal for Audit <br /> services for 2006 (this would be for the 2005 audit). The <br /> Council reviewed the audit in August and moved to hire <br /> `- LarsonAllen for the audit but requested the Clerk to discuss <br /> the cost of the audit with the auditors. <br /> The proposed cost for the audit is $17,500. I spoke with <br /> Tom Koop regarding lowering the fee. Tom indicated that <br /> they would not be able to lower the cost. He indicated that <br /> the cost is based on the number of hours it took to do the <br /> last audit. He indicated that all of the time will be tracked <br /> and if the audit is completed in less than 175 hours, the <br /> City would be billed accordingly. <br /> Council Action Requested: Council motion to authorize <br /> the City to sign the proposal for audit services with <br /> LarsonAllen in 2006. <br />
