Pequot Lakes Police Dept.
Report to City Council
September 2, 2005
For the month of August the Department logged approximately 200 ICRs, complaints and
Officer initiated calls. Officer's also spent approximately 10 hrs preparing for and in court.
Training/Activities:
The whole department worked on reorganizing the office, garage and evidence areas in
preparation for the arrival of the new chief.
The Department is working on completing a comprehensive inventory list of all
equipment issued to officers or in the squad cars, we are also currently working on
creating a new Police Policy and Procedure Manual.
I have been very busy meeting and greeting Community members, learning what
expectations the citizens of Pequot have for our department and how we go about
achieving and meeting those expectations.
Major Department Repairs/Purchases:
For the month of August the Department had the Tahoe gone over thoroughly to see if it
was in need of any major repairs or had any problems. The rear-end was almost
completely shot in the vehicle and had to be rebuilt, as well as other regular maintenance
done, (i.e. oil change).
Respectfully Submitted,
Jerry L. Braam
Chief of Police
