WIDSETH <br /> SMITH <br /> MOLTING <br /> June 29, 2005 <br /> The Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> City of Pequot Lakes <br /> 4638 County Road 11 <br /> Pequot Lakes,MN 56472 <br /> Re: Nagel Road Right-of-Way acquisition <br /> Dear Mayor and Members of the Council <br /> Thank you for the opportunity to submit this proposal for the potential acquisition of Right-of-Way <br /> for Nagel Road across the North '/2 of Section 12, (allowing for the extension of the existing Nagel <br /> road north 1/2 mile to Ackerson Road). <br /> We propose to assist the city with the Right-of-Way acquisition in a two step process. Those two <br /> steps are the roadway easement acquisition and the Right-of-Way plat. The two step approach <br /> allows for the acquisition of the property and then to follow up with the time and effort necessary to <br /> monument and record the Right-of-Way plat. The easement acquisition phase allows for any <br /> changes that may be encountered to be modified prior to the final Right-of-Way Document and <br /> monumentation,therefore not wasting time and effort. <br /> The following is our outline of the Right-of-Way acquisition process and cost estimates for <br /> completion. <br /> 1. Roadway Easement Acquisition: <br /> Using the existing property ownership documents and the section <br /> subdivision we will create a roadway easement drawing. This <br /> drawing will be used for the acquisition of the additional proposed <br /> road eawsement necessary to connect the existing Nagel Road with <br /> Ackerson Road to the north. We will setup a control traverse and <br /> locate the existing property monumentation and section corners <br /> necessary to establish the property boundaries. The easement <br /> drawing will show the proposed roadway easement necessary for <br /> the construction and use of a new road.
