City Council Minutes <br /> July 5, 2005 <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 4. Open Mike <br /> 4.1. Library Report <br /> Nancy Adams gave an oral update to the Council on library statistics. The <br /> Library has celebrated its one year anniversary. There have been over <br /> 9,000 patrons visiting the library during the past year and over 7,000 <br /> volunteer hours. Nancy thanked the Council for its support of the library <br /> and requested the Council to consider donating $5,000 - $10,000 for the <br /> library endowment fund to help insure the future of the library. <br /> Mayor Malecha thanked Nancy Adams, Donna Olson and the numerous <br /> volunteers. The Mayor requested that the endowment request be included <br /> in budget discussions. <br /> Everett Utter— indicated that he lives off of Wilderness Road. He stated <br /> that Nisswa is improving its portion of the road and he requested the City <br /> to consider improving the portion of the road owned by Pequot Lakes. The <br /> �. Mayor suggested that a meeting be held with the neighbors. <br /> 5.1. Request for Rezoning from Wooded Residential to Residential by William <br /> Wortham <br /> Staff report by Chuck Marohn. The property is 4.2 acres in size and is <br /> located on the north side of downtown between Highway 371 and Sibley <br /> Lake. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE REZONING <br /> REQUEST BY WILLIAM WORTHAM TO REZONE 4.2 ACRES OF LAND <br /> FROM WOODED RESIDENTIAL TO RESIDENTIAL. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 5.2. Final Plat— Sibley Acres, William Wortham <br /> Staff report by Chuck Marohn. He indicated that the Planning Commission <br /> recommended approval of the final plat. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE FINAL PLAT <br /> OF SIBLEY ACRES BASED ON THE FINDINGS OF FACT AND THE <br /> THREE CONDITIONS RECOMMENDED BY THE PLANNING <br />
