CLOSE ESCROW CHECKING ACCOUNT AND MERGE <br /> ESCROW INFORMATION WITH THE ROADS AND STREETS <br /> FUND <br /> 3.6. PARTIAL PAY ESTIMATE #3 IN THE AMOUNT OF $53,743.40 <br /> TO YOUNG EXCAVATING, INC. FOR WORK ON THE <br /> INDUSTRIAL PARK PROJECT. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 4. Open Mike <br /> No one appeared for Open Mike. <br /> 5.1. Request Funds for Trailside Park Improvements <br /> Park Board members Del Anderson and Ron Schaefer were present. Del <br /> Anderson indicated that the park improvements have begun. The gazebo <br /> is being painted and the flower gardens are being weeded and planted. <br /> The bean hole pot will be moved to the other side of the park. Mr. <br /> Anderson noted that the he has received three bids for the electricity and <br /> Ron Schaefer has received two bids for the pathway. Mr. Anderson <br /> requested the Council to authorize the use of up to $20,000 for these <br /> improvements. He noted that these improvements could not be started <br /> until the City receives approval from the DNR. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE UP TO $20,000 <br /> FOR IMPROVEMENTS CONSISTING OF LIGHTING, ELECLTRICITY, A <br /> PATHWAY AND PARK AMENITIES SUCH AS PICNIC TABLES ETC. <br /> TO THE TRAILSIDE PARK CONTINGENT ON DNR APPROVAL. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GREER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 6. Planning and Zoning Report <br /> Report reviewed by Council. <br /> 6.1. Variance Request by Gene Hurtig <br /> Chuck Marohn indicated that the applicant is requesting a variance to <br /> allow a dwelling with less than the required width. He indicated that the <br /> Planning Commission has recommended approval based on three <br /> �,, findings of fact and contingent on five conditions. <br />
