SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> BOARD OF REVIEW <br /> THURSDAY, MAY 12, 2005 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor C. Malecha, Council Members Greer, Bolz- <br /> Andolshek, Nagel Pfeiffer, Sjoblad, and Ryan <br /> Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br /> Also Present: Darrell Olson and Jason Jorgenson, County Assessors <br /> Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mayor Malecha called the Board of Review to order at 10:00 a.m. <br /> The following individuals were heard regarding the 2005 property assessment: <br /> 1. Linda Mimm - Parcel #291070250120009 <br /> Mrs. Mimm claimed that the lot was unbuildable and that the road has <br /> never been paved. She indicated that the market value increased from <br /> $3,500 in 2004 to $4,000 in 2005. Council Member Sjoblad indicated that <br /> the road is scheduled to be paved this year. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GREER MOVED TO LOWER THE MARKET <br /> VALUE TO $3,500 AND TO INCREASE THE MARKET VALUE AFTER <br /> THE ROAD IS IMPROVED. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 2. Jean Segerstrom — Parcel #291200000450009 <br /> Ms. Segerstrom questioned the reason for the $17,900 market value <br /> increase and also questioned the difference between market value and <br /> limited market value. Explanation given by Darrell Olson. No action taken <br /> by the Council. <br /> 3. John Hanson — Introduced himself and had no further questions. <br /> 4. Roger Langenbau — Parcel #290101200AA0889 and 290101200AB0889 <br /> Mr. Langenbau indicated that his property has been for sale for the past <br />
