AGENDA ITEMS #11 .1 -11 .5
MEMORANDUM
11.1. REQUEST TO PURCHASE TRACTOR MOWER FOR DITCHES
The Maintenance Department is requesting authorization to purchase a tractor/mower for
use in ditches. The cost would be up to $7,000. We currently sub this work out. We have
not been satisfied with the sub work as it is usually not done the way we request nor is it
done in a timely manner. This is a budgeted item for 2005. We would like Council
authorization to begin the process to look for a tractor/mower.
11.2. AWARD SALE OF TREES TO HIGHEST BIDDER
We will provide the Council with information as to the highest bidder on the trees at the
Council meeting. Bids will be opened on May 2nd at 12:00 noon.
11.3. CONSIDER PROPOSAL FOR CRACK SEALING
Attached is a proposal from Anderson Brothers for crack sealing. The cost is $4,717.00.
If the Council concurs with this proposal, a Council motion should be made to sign the
proposal.
11.4. CONSIDER REQUEST TO PUT IN CULVERT AT PEQUOT BLVD.
Attached is a bid for culvert and bituminous gutter work for the installation of a culvert at
Pequot Boulevard. Mike Loven and Tim Houle will be present to discuss this issue. More
information will be provided to the Council at the meeting.
11.5. CONSIDER ENGINEERING PROPOSALS FOR ROAD PROJECTS
Attached is a proposal for Engineering Services for the construction of McGill Street and
Evenson Road. Tim Houle and Mike Loven will be present to discuss this issue. If the
Council concurs with these proposals, a Council motion should be made to sign the
proposal.
